I am the perfect person for someone who is looking to find their "forever". Not that I am desperate to find my "forever", because I think that is a long process, and one that has to be taken very seriously. I am currently going thru my second divorce and we have been on the outs for six months. So I am looking for a friend first, and a relationship second. I am old enough to know what I want in a woman, so I figured we could be friends first, and then see over time, whether or not I am lucky enough to truly find "forever". And yes, I know what a "Rebound" relationship is, been there, done that, wear the t-shirt, and won't do it again. I am fun, easy to talk to, and when I find a partner I am loyal, committed, and like to be very involved with them. I am shaped by my past, like us all, and it has been one with a lot of joy and some pain. My joy are my three children, my oldest son, 21 who lives near me, and my other son, 11, and my daughter, 8, who lives with my soon to be ex-wife. My pain, is I have two failed marriages. My first one failed because I was young and stupid, and learned that you have to be loyal in order for a marriage to work. My second one failed because I learned you cannot change anybody, and when you choose someone, what you get, is what you get, so make sure you find someone you are compatible with. My best qualities are my ability to talk to people, my self-confidence, my dedication to family and relationships. I/m also very comfortable meeting new people. I am not an "outdoors" type, but I am not a shut-in either, and am willing to try new things. I enjoy movies a lot, ranging from action/adventure to romance. I enjoy time with my children and try to be the best father I can be, though at times I know I can do better. I am getting weekend custody of my children, so whoever I am with has to love kids, and I hope she has kids for me to love as well. As far as the qualities I look for in a woman: The most important thing to me is she has to have the same values I do in order, and those are 1) Your children 2) Your other family members 3) Your friends and of course, if I ever do find Mrs. Forever, she would go to the top of the list, as I would on her list also. She has to be nurturing to her children and be what everyone would calls a "great mother". She has to be honest and believe that lying to who you are with, is the beginning of the end of an relationship. She has to care about her appearance, but yet, not be perfect, and still love herself for who she is. She has to be the kind of person not afraid to share her weaknesses with me and totally comfortable talking to me for a long time. She has to love her family. What she cannot be, and I know this list is somewhat lengthy, but I know what I want and don't want, is she cannot be a biker chick (no offense), not a drunk, not have major psychological problems, not a flirt while she is in a relationship with someone, no illegal drug use, no prior felonies or ever been to jail, no games, and one more thing, if you have ever seen the movie, The Notebook, and did not think "Wow" what a wonderful movie and cry at the end, then I'm sure you are not my type.
