I would like a friendship first to develop respect and rapport. Good company would keep me satisfied right now. It takes time to get to know someone, but also I think chemistry is one of those things that you just know if you have with someone--whether that chemistry is friendly or romantic. I expect honesty, a good sense of humor, integrity, loyalty and excitement. I love many things and am down for new adventures any day. It's sweet to know someone's got your back, and respects what you do with your time. Therefore, I would hope to be remotely interested in your professional goals and vice versa. My story is not unique. However, i'm still processing everything that has happened this year. i went from being carefree and empowered to being diagnosed with this. i am asymptomatic--i never experienced those severe outbreaks that ppl write about. no flus, no chills, no crazy sores down there. but, one night during the summer of 2012, i ended up with severe cramping that landed me in the ER room. i found out a week later from my then boyfriend (from earlier in the year) that he was recently diagnosed. i was in denial bc we didn't know how each of us had contracted it. he said he never had an outbreak until a few months after he met me. needless to say, the blame game didn't help our new relationship. the ER visit convinced me to go get tested, where i received the life-changing news. parts of me feel dirty, less beautiful, less wanted bc of this. it has taken me a few months to have the courage to think about even having potential dates again. however, i'm an optimist and romantic at heart...and this lesson has taught me to appreciate the beauty and sacred art of sex. i cannot be involved with anyone unable to accept all of me and now this "condition"... Friends would describe me as real, fun, caring, open minded, and insightful. A good night out for me would include enlightening convos and good music. I enjoy supporting and engaging in community events. i love love the Bay, NYC, Vegas, and Hawaii! As much as I'm out & about, nothing beats a good run at the lake, a peaceful hike, good read at boba shops & cafes, meditation session, chilling in bed and TLC on the domestic home front. Need that R&R time too...work hard, play hard, love hard, right? I think deep down we have an intimate understanding of what we want. When we do find that or when that finds us, though, it's a matter of timing and maturity. Beyond all the fun aspects of getting dolled up and engaging in pretentious, small talk--I want to be with someone where there are no awkward moments of silence, just golden moments of silence =) Someone who I can laugh out loud with, where I can be myself even if that's just lounging around in a t-shirt and enjoying ice cream. My ambitions are endless. I dream of one day starting a loving family and settling down. I don't get along with insecure people because I am a very confident person. People who are fun loving, ambitious, adventurous, honest, and love to go go go, but at the same time can relax at the end of the day. I spent five years in the military and it has taught me many valuable lessons. I am responsible and level headed among many other things. Athletics has been my whole life. I'd say I'm a pretty active person and it would be ideal to find someone who s active as well. Overall I'd say I'm a pretty laid back lady. Hmmm, where do I begin? This is always the hardest part, writing about yourself. I recently moved to the San Diego area at the beginning of September to get away from heat (PHX, AZ) for a while and why not choose one of the best and closest spots on the West coast! In my spare time I like to workout and hang out with friends and family. I like to travel, either within the state or out, staying in doors watching movies with a glass of wine is perfectly fine for me on a wknd night, although I don't mind hittin' up a club every so often. I enjoy listening to music of all sorts, not picky at all. I am very independent, energetic, spontaneous and outgoing but at the same time very chill and mellow. I can be sarcastic at times and have a good sense of humor. I like to look at everything in a positive manner and not take life so seriously...it can be gone at the blink of an eye! I am a good listener and very honest person and value my family and friends to death. I am not one to dwell and have always lived my life as the eternal optimist. I have been living with herpes for two years now. With so many people out there with herpes I am sure that I could find someone that I click with. I am looking for an outgoing adventurous person who loves good food, traveling and enjoys nothing more than a decent conversation with a good friend. 'm originally from the South, but I'm getting to like San Diego . Hopefully one day I can live in Melbourne, Australia for a few years. I love music that's loud and fast paced with guitar shreds that are so incredible it will make you want to rip the pouch off of a kangaroo. Don't do that tho, because I like animals. I volunteer for Second Chance Dog Rescue and recently gotta new partner in crime I'm trying to train him how to fight Chuck Norris. We'll see where that goes. I think that the Dave Matthews Band sucks. And if you're offended by that, then you're the problem with our country. Someone has a difference in opinion than you do and you get offended, when you should be worrying about more important things. Like why you listen to shitty music. I find it hard to believe that there are people who get in the shower and THEN turn on the water. I have also noticed that lol has gone from meaning 'laugh out loud' to 'I have nothing else to say'. I ran cross country since I was in high school, and I still enjoy it. It's good to get out and run for a while. I just wish there were more backwood trails in San Diego I could run on. I also am an avid CrossFit fanatic. I'm pretty active, and hopefully one day I can test my ultimate athleticism by showing Steven Segal his place >:\ That's not gonna happen. Oh well. I'm an admitted chronic procrastinator. Horribly. I get stuff done, I just wait until the end. Rushing seems to get things done more efficiently for me tho. I own these streets! I've decided that there is no worse feeling that that absolute second during an argument that you realize you were the one who was actually wrong.
