Description
I might do something wrong...
youngish 42 year old SWM in livng in NW DC, never married and no kids, seeks fun-loving SWF ( but race not really important) for friendship and dating. I'm still new to this- I found out in October of 2005. I guess the term is asymptomatic, and it was a shock to me as it is to everybody, but especially because I've NEVER had symptoms. I've come to realize that it's not the end of the world; maybe I'm taking this too lightly, but I'm just trying to think of this as a really big hassle - something that limits the pool of people in this world that you can be intimate with, but it's still a pretty big pool to swim in.
I've heard that you can have a great social life as a member of this "club" and I want to find out if that's true. I love going out to see sporting events and live music, as well as going to the few clubs and bars in metro DC that play good music, not the usual crap you hear everywhere- the Dewey Beach soundtrack. I love going to the well known local music venues and go to lots of Orioles, Nationals, Wizards, Capitals, and college games.
I work for a non-profit on behalf of animals, and am a big history and architecture buff. I've got a lot of varied interests think that I can converse with almost anybody about anything. I'd love to get the ball rolling, so send me a PSST!
I'm from Long Island and went so school in upstate NY, I also lived in Arizona for a long time and also went to school there too, amd thus am pretty familiar with California, as well
I like to think I've absorbed the best of the east coast and west coast lifestyles and attittudes.
I'm pretty active, participating in a lot of team sports in multiple leagues- flag football, lacrosse, softball, soccer, as well as running in 5-10K's and with the hashers, and am open to pretty much any kind of social activity, or going to a museum or hiking.
A friend I confided my situation to once said, "dude, there's plenty of attractive women in the same boat" (actually he said there's plenty of hot chicks with herpes) and after thinking my chances of having a relationship with a woman that could involve intimacy again were slim, I'm ready to start meeting people who have to deal with the same issue, but won't let that stop them from having a healthy, active, "normal" romantic life. If that sounds like an attitude in line with yours, or one you can at least hang with, drop me line and let's start chatting.
